The Villa Sträuli was founded in 2006 by the Sulzberg Foundation and funded by it until July 2021. In summer 2021, the newly found association Kulturhaus Villa Sträuli took over the sponsorship on their behalf. Under the new management, the Kulturhaus Villa Sträuli will be further developed and led into a new future.

VISION

The Kulturhaus Villa Sträuli promotes contemporary art through a unique, international residency program and as a public house for art, culture, collaborations and encounters.

The house is an atmospheric place that we run as an open and diverse cultural meeting place. We facilitate social and cultural participation and address a critical audience that feels inspired by the exchange with artists and each other.

Our impulse is to create a place for encounters, in which the connection of international guest artists with the regional artists and the audience is enabled.
