She made her debut in 2014 with Der Schädel von Madeleine. Her novel Die Königin schweigt won her the Förderpreis zum Bremer Literaturpreis and was named best German-language debut novel at the Festival du premier Roman in Chambéry in 2018. For “Geistergeschichte” (2019), her second novel, she received the European Union Prize for Literature. In 2020, she won the 3sat Prize at the Days of German-Language Literature in Klagenfurt for her text “Der heißeste Sommer”, and in 2024 she received the Anton Wildgans Prize. Her most recent book, published by Jung und Jung, is Arson (2023)
