Amira Ben Saoud is a writer and cultural journalist based in Vienna. She studied Classical Philology, Art History and Comparative Literature and was editor-in-chief of the pop culture magazine The Gap and a culture editor at Der Standard. Her writing explores literature, pop culture and contemporary social questions. In 2025, she published her debut novel Schweben with Zsolnay Verlag, an atmospheric dystopian novel exploring identity, memory, loss and the boundaries between reality and fiction.
